Thanksgiving on the Lake November 27 - 30, 2008

New fitness center opens at The Cabana in Mariners Landing

Lifestyle Fitness center, located in Forest, Va., has opened a second location at The Cabana at Mariners Landing. This larger fitness facility also offers personal training and evaluation services, in addition to more machines. Many residents and vacationers at Mariners Landing are excited about the new services as an addendum to doctor prescribed regimens. There have been some concerns about the modest monthly cost for the Lifestyle facilities, but those who are not interested in paying for the additional services still have full access to the workout facilities at The Pointe.

New price for the Caribbean Beach Festival

FYI. The Caribbean Beach Festival is now $19 for adults, down from $21. If anyone has any feedback on this event, we would be pleased to know! Attendance was great this week and for July 4th, but has been a little sluggish otherwise. We want this event to continue to be the Lake's most popular mid-week event, so let us know your thoughts!

Mariners Landing Resort Community and Conference Center has always tried to be a leader in developing the ideal resort lifestyle. As such, we have decided to open up more forums for letting the public know about what is going on within the resort and how our customers (and future customers) can talk to us about what is going on in Mariners Landing and around Smith Mountain Lake. I hope those who read this, will subscribe, feel free to post comments, and suggest that others join in our discussions.
